Random Facts
Electronics is used very often because of how useful it can be. People have been able to make screens and robots with it and it is still getting better.
An average person uses at least 10 forms of electric components each day!
A TV has 500 electronic components.
Most people dont know what they do, let alone how they work.
I will teach you how they work and what they do,

I will teach you how they work and what they do,
How they work:
The diode
What it does: The diode allows electricity to only travel in one direction.
How it works: The diode has two materials in it, one with extra electrons and one with impurities, making it a semiconductor. When electricity flows through the semiconductor end it cannot pass through, because of the extra electrons, but when electricity flows through the extra electron end it can pass through because the extra electrons go into the impurities and can pass through.
The capacitor
What it does: The capacitor stores up electricity and then lets it out in a large zap.
How it works: the capacitor has two metal plates and a space in between them. When electricity is added to one end it stores up, until it bridges the gap, releasing a large amount of electricity.
The transistor
What it does: The transistor is used as a voltage switch, five volts – ON, less than five volts – OFF.
How it works: A transistor works by having a semi conductive cristal in between 2 pieces of
conductive metals. When low current is applied to the semiconductive material (base) no electrical
chare passes through. But when high current is applied to the base, it is able to pass through due to
being stronger than low current.
The switch
What it does: The swich is used to turn a circuit on or off.
How it works: The switch has a pice of metal in it that when it is pushed, it touches a piece of metal, completing a circuit.
